Director of Finance – Phenix City, AL

The Director of Finance position at the Phenix City Housing Authority (PCHA) offers an opportunity to contribute to the contribute to the day-to-day and long-term viability of this high-performing agency. The PCHA provides safe, high-quality affordable housing to residents in Phenix City through its commitment to innovation, efficiency, and accountability.

The Director of Finance will lead PCHA’s Finance Department, which is responsible for maximizing and strengthening the fiscal operations of a changing organization. The ideal candidate will participate in daily operations and use their financial acumen and experience to lead and develop an internal team to support the following areas: finance, planning and budgeting, and administration.

Desired Education, Background & Competencies

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in financial accounting. CPA preferred. Supervisory and public housing experience preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Must possess a valid Alabama driver’s license and be insurable under the Authority’s plan. Must be eligible for coverage under the Authority’s fidelity bond.
