DEPUTY DIRECTOR / EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP SUCCESSION OPPORTUNITY
Housing Authority of the City of Hattiesburg, Mississippi
The Housing Authority of the City of Hattiesburg is seeking an experienced public housing professional to serve as Deputy Director. This position is being filled as part of HHA’s leadership succession planning, with the current Executive Director anticipating retirement within approximately eight to eighteen months.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Director during the transition period, gaining comprehensive experience with the Authority’s operations and preparing for potential consideration by the Board of Commissioners as the next Executive Director.
The Deputy Director will serve as a senior member of management with responsibilities involving Authority operations, HUD compliance, financial management, staff supervision, strategic planning, and HHA’s transition from Public Housing to PBRA through RAD. Candidates should have significant public housing management and supervisory experience, strong knowledge of HUD programs, and preferably RAD/PBRA experience.
Salary range: $75,000-$85,000, depending upon qualifications and experience, plus benefits.
