HCV Case Manager – Bay St. Louis, MS

The HCV Case Manager position at the Bay Waveland Housing Authority (BWHA) offers an opportunity to contribute to the day-to-day operations of this important agency. As a public housing authority (PHA), the BWHA provides safe, high-quality affordable housing to the Bay St. Louis and Waveland residents through its commitment to innovation, efficiency, and accountability. The agency plays a key role in managing affordable housing in the Bay St. Louis and Waveland community. 

The HCV Case Manager will perform various duties related to Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) admissions, voucher issuance, continued eligibility, and landlord-participant relations. Responsibilities include maintaining a caseload of Housing Choice Voucher participants and ensuring maximum program and budget authority utilization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of the HCV Program and strong written and oral communication skills.

Desired Education, Background & Competencies

Associate’s Degree in Management, Public Administration, Social Work, or related field and two (2) years of experience in the administration of a Housing Choice Voucher Program; or High School Diploma/GED and four (4) years of experience in the administration of a Housing Choice Voucher Program. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the Authority’s plan.
